From Dresden: Renaissance Christmas

For 592 years, Advent in Dresden has been celebrated with the famous Striezelmarkt. Surely the Dresden court Kapellmeisters Heinrich Schütz and Michael Praetorius also once strolled past the stalls, inspired by the exotic scents and spices, the skilful craftsmanship and the delicious sweets. At least their works for Advent and Christmas are particularly colourful, magnificent, radiant and full of infectious cheer.
