Von der Passion

Passion music need not be quiet and solemn alone: in works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ernst Pepping and Max Reger, very different sound worlds meet, from inwardness and drama to great tonal colour. Cathedral organist Sebastian Freitag of Dresden Cathedral shapes the evening with a programme that makes the variety of sacred organ music impressively audible.
