Nationaal Jeugdorkest
Music by Britten, Shostakovich and Prokofiev. The Nationaal Jeugdorkest (NJO), with star violinist Liza Ferschtman, presents a grand and gripping programme in which hope and melancholy come together. The concert opens with Russian Funeral, a short piece for brass that Britten wrote in 1936 in response to the rising fascism in Europe.
