5th Academy Concert: Stéphane Denève Three French composers and one who was French at heart: in the fifth Academy Concert, three suites and Camille Saint-Saëns's Cello Concerto No. 1 will be heard in an evening in four parts. The work established the solo concerto with cello as a genre in 1873.
