La Traviata

Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata" is one of the most famous and moving stories in the operatic repertoire. It tells of Violetta Valéry, who desperately fights for her right to a little happiness. In Alfredo she seems to have found it. But against society she has no chance, for society has long since formed its opinion of her.
