Chamber Concert: String Quartet

The lively strings of this concert begin with music by Mendelssohn. He composed his String Quartet in E flat major, Op. 13, "so sentimental it brings tears", in 1827 at the age of 18, during the "Beethoven fever" shortly after Beethoven's death, as a response to his model.
