Hänsel und Gretel

Look forward to the classic that sets every audience member's heart racing during Advent and Christmas: Engelbert Humperdinck's opera Hänsel und Gretel. Premiered in Weimar in 1893, this fairy-tale play still captivates with boundless, tone-painting poetry. It brings the enchanted forest and the witch's house to life on stage, and it produces true earworms, for every child can sing along to "Brüderchen komm tanz' mit mir" or "Ein Männlein steht im Walde".
