Double bassists of the NDR Ensembles / Zimoun / Thomas Cornelius / Alan Gilbert

Working piece by piece, the Swiss artist Zimoun arranges hundreds of identical elements into a single sound sculpture, until the room begins to live in the complex ballet of simplicities. For "Elbphilharmonie Visions", he transfers the core of this process, together with a new installation in the Kleiner Saal, for the first time to an orchestra of 40 double bass players from the NDR Ensembles and guests from across Germany.
