The SWR Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Bas Wiegers, explores with pianist Rei Nakamura and hologram soloist Agata Zubel the tensions between minimalist detail and spectacular, multisensory sound worlds. Enigmatic titles such as “Der fette Hirte und das weiße Kaninchen” (The Fat Shepherd and the White Rabbit) or “Die goldenen Tiere” (The Golden Animals) already hint at how playful and surprising Klaus Lang’s sound worlds unfold.
