Poiesis Quartet

The Poiesis Quartet is winner of the prestigious Banff International String Quartet Competition 2025. The American ensemble is among the most promising string quartets of its generation. Its programmatic outlook is already in its name: "Poiesis" roughly means, in ancient Greek, "to bring forth something that did not previously exist", and so stands for the ensemble's aim of connecting the classical repertoire with new perspectives.
