A line of kneeling bodies curves and undulates to the rhythm of relentless pulsations. From their torsos and limbs rises a succession of grey waves that swell, break and beat tirelessly against an imaginary breakwater. The arpeggios of a virtuoso piano soon swell their flows into autonomous whirlpools, before calm follows the storm (Brise-lames). — From two pianos flows a deep, shimmering river of sound, whose waves seem to spread into the surrounding space, which trembles and creases in a play of watercolour tints.
