Grand Concert n°8

Both child prodigies, tireless travellers and early composers, Mozart and Mendelssohn enjoyed dazzling careers before dying prematurely. Written after his journey to Scotland, Mendelssohn's Hebrides transforms the landscapes of the island of Staffa and Fingal's Cave into poetic, fresh and shimmering music, a true sonic evocation of the Romantic world.
