For the first Grand Concert of the year, Philippe Jordan, son of Armin Jordan, former artistic director of the OCL, returns to conduct the orchestra thirty years after his last invitation. Currently music director of the Orchestre National de France (after the Paris Opera and the Vienna State Opera), he will juxtapose two late works by Strauss and Schubert, two scores of exceptional scope that each, in their own way, question the passing of time and the demands of living.
