Abenteurer – Măcelaru & Strauss
Enchanting moments define this special concert evening under the direction of Cristian Măcelaru, former chief conductor of the WDR Symphony Orchestra. At its heart is Richard Strauss's tone poem "Don Quixote". Led by the cello and viola, its evocative images tell of chivalrous adventures between irony and profundity.
