Gipfelsturm – Eine Alpensinfonie

An evening of two summit climbers! Franz Schreker's "Vorspiel zu einem Drama" was written in the context of his opera "Die Gezeichneten" and unfolds the glowing sound worlds of late Viennese Romanticism, while his Bavarian contemporary Richard Strauss sets off a veritable fireworks of keys in the Burleske for piano and orchestra.
