A virtuoso Venetian storm is brewing! With two concerts devoted to the fiery composer Antonio Vivaldi, our portrait artist Anastasia Kobekina takes over the series ‘Early Music by Candlelight’. The award-winning virtuoso passionately interprets Vivaldi’s breathtaking fury (idyll included) on the baroque cello. For some time now she has been engaged with historical performance practice: a way of making music that she says has given her ‘a new way of breathing, a new adventure’.
