Beethoven 7

A milestone and a pianistic fireworks display: Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2, which contains typical elements of his music: wistful melodies, lush warmth and pathos, late-Romantic harmonic turns and a highly demanding piano part. After the sensational success of this work, Rachmaninov, with the help of his neurologist, to whom the concerto is dedicated, managed to emerge from a deep life crisis.
