Daniil Trifonov

The winner of the Rubinstein and Tchaikovsky piano competitions is one of the most fascinating pianists of our time. When Daniil Trifonov plays, he seems to merge completely with his instrument. "He has everything and more; tenderness and the demonic both live in him. I have never heard anything like it," said the grande dame of the piano, Martha Argerich.
