Mark Andre

The full-evening work "rwh. 1-4" is the spiritual magnum opus of the French composer Mark Andre. It is a work on the border of dissolving, of transcendence and of the composer's profound religiosity. "rwh." (pronounced ruach) is an Aramaic word and opens a very wide field of meaning: it concerns breath, air, fragrance and wind, but also spirit, and, since Martin Luther's translation at the latest, the Holy Spirit" (Mark Andre).
