Elgar Cellokonzert

A highly emotional programme is presented by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, renowned for its brilliance, under its Principal Conductor Edward Gardner. The evening opens with an early, breathtakingly romantic symphonic movement by Sergei Rachmaninov. It closes with Jean Sibelius's sublime Fifth Symphony, whose wondrous finale the composer himself called the 'Swan Hymn'.
