40 Jahre Universitätschor Duisburg-Essen

The Universitätschor Duisburg-Essen and the Bläsersymphonie der Abtei Hamborn join forces for the first time to perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem to mark the 40th anniversary of the university choir, in the rarely performed version for soloists, choir and symphonic wind orchestra. The programme is complemented by further works on the theme "Peace and Freedom", including film music by John Williams ("Hymn to the Fallen") and Patrick Doyle ("Non nobis, Domine") and the "Benedictus" from "The Armed Man" by Karl Jenkins.
