Barocke Weihnacht

The New Bach Collegium Musicum is the baroque ensemble of the Gewandhausorchester. Its very name refers to the group of musicians with whom Johann Sebastian Bach worked during his time in Leipzig. Conducted by Reinhard Goebel, long-standing leader of Musica Antiqua Köln and the legendary driving force behind a vibrant historical performance practice, the musicians present a Christmas concert featuring little-known treasures from the early 18th century.
