Beethoven electric

Marking the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's death, the Philharmonie Essen honours the Viennese Classical master with various concerts in the 2026/2027 season. As part of the NOW! festival, this includes a tribute with works by three outstanding composers of electroacoustic music. First, excerpts from "La dixième symphonie - Hommage à Beethoven" will be heard, a sound collage on Beethoven's nine symphonies produced by musique concrète pioneer Pierre Henry.
