Verklaar de Nacht: De zoektocht van Strauss & Schönberg

With Richard Strauss and Arnold Schönberg, the NBE explores love together with the Flemish writer Maud Vanhauwaert. The light, graceful Serenade and the more expansive Suite by the young Strauss stand opposite Schönberg's searching Verklärte Nacht, a musical rendering of a nocturnal confession full of guilt, forgiveness and inner transformation.
