Tarmo Peltokoski & Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra

Tarmo Peltokoski shows two of his musical sides in Dortmund: as conductor he shapes the characterful sound of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and as pianist he sits at the piano himself in Saint-Saëns’ “Carnival of the Animals”, side by side with Martin Helmchen. The evening opens with Yao Chen’s powerful “Panda Overture”, a colourful greeting from the orchestra’s home.
