Lera Auerbach: 72 Angels – Chorwerk Ruhr

Chorwerk Ruhr and the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet turn their gaze heavenward with Lera Auerbach’s composition “72 Angels”. Auerbach has designed a cross-confessional sound structure that sets 72 angelic names to music and links the traditions of various cultures, whether Abrahamic religion, Hindu devas or Zoroastrian yazatas, through the motif of angels.
