Sir Simon Rattle – Bach Matthäus-Passion

For many, Johann Sebastian Bach's St Matthew Passion is as much a part of Easter as the Christmas tree is of Christmas. Dramatic and multilayered, it brings the Passion story according to the Evangelist Matthew to life in music. At the Konzerthaus Dortmund, in the 2026/27 season, the work is performed two weeks before Easter as a prelude to the festival.
