Liedmatinee

Full of temperament, emotion and humour, Maria Kataeva and Beniamin Pop – accompanied by Dan Raṭiu at the piano – devote themselves to selected operatic repertoire connected with the sunny regions around the Mediterranean. For when one looks at the great operas of the 18th and 19th centuries, it is striking that successful composers such as Mozart, Rossini or Bizet set their works particularly often in Spain and other 'distant' countries.
