Gently dreamy, exquisitely beautiful, breathtakingly virtuosic: Camille Saint-Saëns's Third Violin Concerto has everything. Just like star violinist Julia Fischer, who will present this magnificent work at the Heinersdorff Concerts. Saint-Saëns composed his violin concerto in 1880 for the legendary violinist Pablo de Sarasate. It is distinguished by enchanting melodies and a subtly impressionistic play of timbres, which in the hands of a mistress of her craft such as Julia Fischer is of course in the best possible care.
