Seong-Jin Cho

"Cho's playing combines poetic line with structuring intelligence", "Virtuoso brilliance meets narrative poetry": there is no doubt that Seong-Jin Cho is one of those exceptional talents who not only master their instrument perfectly but also have the gift of telling compelling musical stories. A prime example is the Heinersdorff programme of the Korean superstar: it spans from the sound magician Mozart through the piano god Prokofiev to Jörg Widmann and his allusive compositional art.
