For Leonidas Kavakos, Bach and Vivaldi are not historical decoration but living presence: clear lines, virtuosic energy and baroque masterpieces on modern instruments. The Greek violinist Kavakos is regarded as the philosopher among the great violinists of our time; his profound yet natural playing has set standards for decades.
