Enigma

Elgar’s “Enigma Variations” are music as a portrait of friendship: lovingly, enigmatically and drawn with great orchestral warmth. This declaration of friendship closes an evening of the 20th and 21st centuries that combines a spirit of discovery with great violin artistry. We are delighted by Alena Baeva’s first Sternzeichen as Artist in Residence at the Tonhalle.
