Rutter Magnificat

Rutter's "Magnificat" makes the choir shine: festive, direct, singable, and with that Anglo-Saxon, softened modernity that choirs love him for. John Rutter still handles the central European classics with a light touch, but his own music opens a different, bright approach to the present. With Esa-Pekka Salonen's Horn Concerto, this evening becomes a celebration of today's music.
