Rutter Magnificat

Rutter's "Magnificat" makes the choir shine: festive, direct, vocal, and with that Anglo-Saxon cushioned modernity for which choirs love him. John Rutter still handles the Central European classics with delicate fingers, but his own music opens a different, bright approach to the present. With Esa-Pekka Salonen's Horn Concerto, this evening becomes a celebration of today's music.
