Bamberger Symphoniker

The second concert of the Bamberger Symphoniker in their multi-city Beethoven symphony marathon offers maximum contrast. Robert Schumann once described Ludwig van Beethoven's Fourth Symphony as a "slender Greek maiden between two giants of the North". Why? Because it appears so luminous and delicate between the world-shaking Third and the fateful Fifth.
