Nijmeegs Studenten Orkest – Sprookjesachtig winterconcert

The Nijmegen Student Orchestra, conducted by Pim Cuijpers and in collaboration with soloist Florian Verweij, performs a splendid programme at this winter concert. The concert opens with Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 with soloist Florian Verweij. This piano concerto is one of the most famous and most virtuosic from the Romantic era, iconic for its overwhelming opening with powerful piano chords and a grand string theme.
