Fee Suzanne de Ruiter – Melancholia

In Melancholia, mezzo-soprano Fee Suzanne de Ruiter and pianist Florian Verweij go in search of melancholy in music. It is not as gloomy as it may seem: De Ruiter sees it as a prompt towards something beautiful. She demonstrates this in music by, among others, Bach, Von Bingen, Boulanger and Berio, singing both with piano accompaniment and a cappella.
