In his Seventh Symphony, Mahler pays a glorious tribute to the night. The composer plays with shades of darkness, radiant harmonies and triumphant moments of ecstasy. For just over an hour, the listener travels with him towards redeeming daylight. A rare opportunity, as Mahler's Seventh Symphony is not often heard live.
