Amsterdam Sinfonietta: Tsjaikovski’s Serenade

Mozart's lively Sinfonia concertante is a cross between a symphony and a concerto, a genre that came over from Italy and was briefly very popular. Mozart's version belongs to the absolute top category: virtuosic and at once sensitive, highly original and of unprecedented beauty, a work full of passion and romanticism.
