When AVROTROS artist in residence Thomas Beijer asked him to put together a chamber music concert, he was immediately inspired. With the line-up of the Romantic Chanson perpétuelle, in the version for piano, string quartet and mezzo-soprano in mind, Thomas Beijer is composing a new song cycle for his partner, the Slovenian mezzo-soprano Barbara Kozelj.
