Piazzolla: María de Buenos Aires

Piazzolla's tango opera receives a new arrangement from the Nederlands Saxofoon Octet, with the approval of the Piazzolla heirs. Two tango dancers tell the story of the sex worker María from Buenos Aires who, after her death, returns as her own shadow. Karin Strobos sings María amid melancholy and penetrating reed sounds.
