Okkyung Lee

Adventurous South Korean cellist, composer and improviser Okkyung Lee has been a phenomenon in experimental music for more than twenty-five years. She beguiles audiences with a highly distinctive and intense idiom full of raw, extended techniques. Yet tranquil melodies also emerge from time to time, as evidenced by the album Yeo-Neun.
