A Day in the Life

In 80 minutes, the journey of an entire day is evoked in a musical trek by LA Phil Creative Director Esa-Pekka Salonen and renowned director Yuval Sharon. A musical program that journeys between the seemingly banal and the profound—from the musique concrète of an electric toothbrush and the background music at a happy hour to a traditional chamber work conducted by Salonen—illuminates how sound and music shape our days.
