PYO closes its historic 87th season with a spectacular Annual Festival Concert celebrating and culminating Maestro Louis Scaglione’s 30th Anniversary with PYOMI. The season-defining program opens with a newly commissioned work by American composer Paul Frucht, whose music has been praised for its “individual voice” and “sense of lyricism, driving pulse, and great urgency.” Frucht previously wrote a double bass concerto premiered by PYO in the 2024–25 season, featuring Ranaan Myer as soloist.
