Franco Fagioli & Michele D’Elia
Bel canto = literally, beautiful singing. And Franco Fagioli delivers exactly that. A countertenor with the range of a soprano and a warmth entirely his own, he takes on two centuries of Italian vocal music – from Cavalli’s tender 17th-century arias through to the dazzling fireworks of Bellini and Donizetti.
