Beethoven Festival VII: Beethoven and Byström

Seventh Symphony with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and Pekka Kuusisto.

Beethoven's Seventh Symphony is outward-facing and full of energy. At this concert it is paired with a work by Britta Byström: Voyages extraordinaires. Of Beethoven's Seventh she says it is music that seems to carry an unanswered riddle, something that cannot be captured, but that comes to life at every new listening.
