Mahler 5a

Mahler's Fifth Symphony vibrates with terror and harmony in an uneasy blend, from the famous trumpet fanfare of the opening to a swaying Viennese waltz. It also contains the famous Adagietto, with its exquisite string texture floating between dream and wakefulness. Mahler wrote it as a love letter to his Alma.
