King Saint Stephen Music High School Wind Orchestra Turns 20

The wind orchestra of the King Saint Stephen Secondary School of Music celebrates its 20th anniversary by presenting the Müpa Budapest audience with a programme selected from the most successful works of the past two decades. For this concert spanning from the Romantic era to contemporary music, the ensemble performs Elgar’s vigorous march, Frigyes Hidas’s virtuosic Double Concerto, the overture to Weber’s opera Der Freischütz, and James Barnes’s moving Symphony No. 3 (“Tragic”), all of which demonstrate the the wind orchestra’s richness and expressive power.
