The St. Matthew Passion

It's not every day that a performance of J. S. Bach's great feat, the St. Matthew Passion, is undertaken, but in 2027 it will be 300 years since its premiere. The Iceland Symphony Orchestra will perform this masterpiece of Western music, accompanied by a number of soloists and choirs under the direction of Benedikt Kristjánsson.
