Mahler, Symphony No. 2 / Jaap van Zweden

Mahler’s music occupies a central place in Jaap van Zweden’s career. He performed it for many years as first violin at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam – the quintessential Mahler orchestra – under the baton of Haitink, Solti and Bernstein, amongst others, who passed on some of its secrets to him.
